Project TLL

A world that was already living before you arrived, and carries on after you are gone. You get a week in it. Not everyone makes it to the end.

Somewhere with a history

Every place you walk into was settled, lived in, and in many cases ruined long before the first player logged in. The people who are still there have families, loyalties, grudges and their own imperfect account of what happened. Nobody wrote any of it down in advance.

People, not scenery

The inhabitants are not waiting on a spawn point for you to arrive. They have things they want, work they do, and their own reasons for being where they are. They keep doing all of it while you are somewhere else, and they will still be doing it if you never come back.

A week, and then nothing

A run lasts a handful of days, and each day is somewhere new. Two things travel with you from one to the next: your character, and whatever you are carrying. There are no vaults, no stashes and no safe rooms to come home to.

Everything costs something

Staying out longer is how you come back with more, and it is also how you do not come back. Every hour spent is an hour you no longer have to get clear, and the world is under no obligation to warn you which hour was the last sensible one.

Where it is right now

Being built, without a date attached. Large parts of it run today and large parts of it are still design on paper. We would rather say that plainly than announce something and quietly move it. When there is something worth showing, it will show up here first.

Interested in it?

If you want to hear when it opens up, or you make art, sound or worlds and want to talk about working on one, we would like to hear from you.
